He was predeceased by: his parents, Jack Gregory and Annie Lorene Bennett Gregory; and his brothers, Jack Edward "Eddie" Gregory, Roger Glenn Gregory and Robert Fisher "Bobby" Gregory.

He is survived by: his wife Joyce; his sons, Edward Gregory (Shelia) and Glenn Gregory (Lea); his sisters, Kathlene Gregory Mofield, Linda Gregory Hunt of Lebanon and Nancy Gregory Wilkerson of Carthage; his grandchildren, Josh Gregory (Tiffany) of Dixon Springs, Shaina Gregory Setzer (Ira) and Austin Gregory; his great grandchildren, Mia, Carlee, Brycen, Marcus Gregory, Scarlett and Cassie Setzer; and his sisters-in-law, Sue Ann Gregory and Becky Gregory.

The Gregory family has requested memorials to the Peyton Creek Baptist Church.

“I worked with Jimmy several years ago in Lebanon. He was a good man and an honest man, and I'm saddened to hear of his passing. When I returned back to Middle Tennessee, I called Jimmy a few months ago and we caught up on old times and memories. Friends like Jimmy are rare, and he was a positive influence in my life. He always spoke about his family in a loving way. Even though we did not get to spend much time together in recent years, I will miss him. Regards, Gary M. Green”
