She was loved and cherished by many people including: her son Robert Richard "Bob" Hughes; her husband Ron; her son Mike Hughes (Nicki) of South Carthage; her grandchildren, Devin Hughes (Krystal) of South Carthage and Lauren Hughes of South Carthage; her great grandchildren, Michelle and Bailey; and her brothers, Hollie Myers of Hartsville and Morris Myers (Glenda Sanderson Myers).

The family has requested memorials to Smith County Drug Prevention Coalition or Smith County Humane Society.
