He is survived by: his wife Mary Ellen Chester; and his children, Darlene Gregory of Lafayette, Mildred Hale, Patricia Reid (Patty) of Hartsville, Jimmy Hale (Lavonna), Warner Hale (Danielle) of Carthage and Rev. John Hale (Melinda Preston Hale) of Newport.
