With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Helen Irene Davis of Carthage, Tennessee, who passed away on April 17, 2025 at the age of 89. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Armel Hamlet and Gertie Mai Tyree Hamlet; her spouse J. B. Davis; her son-in-law Michael Ray Fariss; and her brother Billy Jo Hamlet.
She is survived by: her children, Darlene Fariss of Carthage, TN. and Russell Davis of Hendersonville, TN.; her grandchildren, Heather Davis, Russ Davis of Nashville, TN, Jennifer Burton (Rusty) of Hickman, TN and Chris Fariss (Jill) of Lebanon, TN.; her great grandchildren, Caitlyn Rankin (Cleve), Sam Burton, Lycity Burton, Kenidy Fariss and Emery Fariss; and her siblings, Tommy Lynn Hamlet, Jimmy Hamlet of Carthage, TN., Frances Stewart (Walter) of Gordonsville, TN and Effie Reeves (Tommy) of Brush Creek, TN..
Visitation was held on Monday, April 21st 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Gordonsville Chapel of Bass Funeral Home (71 E Main St, Gordonsville, TN 38563). A graveside service was held on Tuesday, April 22nd 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Gordonsville Cemetery (34 Hickman Hwy, Gordonsville, TN 38563).
Mrs. Davis family request memorial donations in her memory be made to the Carthage Church of Christ.
