He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter James "Jim" and Pauline Vaden McKinney; his grandparents, Walter, Alma Clark McKinney, Merideth T. and Virginia Dickens Vaden; his parents-in-law, Hilary and Edna Massey Hesson; and his sisters-in-law, Nancy Fowler (Frank) and Paulette Metcalf (Mack).
He is survived by: his wife Judy Hesson McKinney; and his son Walter Clark McKinney. He is also survived by several cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Pallbearers: Roy Vaden, Randy, Ricky & Gary Woodard, Danny Manning, Steve Murphy, Phil & Pat Massey, Tony Dickens, and Dale Owens, Memorials may be made to New Salem Missionary Baptist Church or to the Monroe Carell Jr. Children's Hospital at Vanderbilt.
