He was predeceased by: his parents, James Alonzo Fields and Maude Shepherd Fields; his wife Doris Jean Isaacs Fields; and his sons, Richard Harold "Bug" Fields Jr. and Michael Wyman Fields.
He is survived by: his children, George Anthony Fields (Jodie), Camden, Madisonville, Roger Van Smith (Jennifer), Judy Fields, Cumberland and Gloria Hudspeth (Mike); his sister Janice Smith; his sister-in-law Wyvonne Fields; and his great grandchild Along.
