He was predeceased by: his parents, James Hardin and Ruth Surrett Hunter; his son Harold Dean Hardin Jr.; and his brothers, Donnie Hardin and Joe Hardin.
He is survived by: his wife Sandra Hardin of Camden, TN; his children, Kevin Hardin (Cassie) of Brunswick, OH, Regina Hall of Camden, TN and Deana Oatsvall (Jeff) of Camden, TN.; his siblings, Bobby Hardin (Jennifer) of Southaven, MS., Sandra Gates of Henderson, TN and Carol Baker of Camden, TN.; his grandchildren, Lesli Woods (Alex), Shelby Hall and Emily Burr (Jacob); and his great grandchildren, Preston Hall, Emma Kate Woods, Brant Woods, Eva Clarie Woods, Chase Burr, Ellie Jo Burr, Cooper Burr, Grayson Mahr and Ace Sayles.
A graveside service was held on Sunday, February 16th 2025 at 2:30 PM at the Flatwoods Cemetery (70 Cherry Grove Rd, Camden, TN 38320).
