He was predeceased by: his parents, Lillard Oneal Curtis and Pearl Pauline Goodman Curtis; his wife Brenda Curtis; and his brothers, Bobby Curtis and David Curtis.

He is survived by: his daughter Ashley Curtis; and his siblings, Evelyn Johnson (Jimmy), Harry Curtis, Camden, Harold Curtis, Nashville and Along.
