He is survived by: his children, Ruby Ann Shoemake (Ronnie), Brenda Gunter, Linda Davis, Judy Gunter (Ernie Owens), Terry Gunter (Redda), Jerry Gunter (Velma), Danny Gunter, David Gunter and Sammy Gunter (Amie); and his siblings, Estelle Scott, Mazie Melton, Bill and Tom Gunter. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other family members, and friends.
