It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Dorothy Mae Burton of Byrdstown, Tennessee, who passed away on September 1, 2024, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. As we bid farewell to this cherished soul, solace is taken in the memories held dear — the laughter shared, the wisdom imparted, the moments of quiet reflection in their presence. Though Dorothy may no longer walk among us, her spirit lives on in the echoes of her kindness, the warmth of her embrace, and the light of her enduring love.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Odie Pruitt and Ruby Pruitt (Rigney); and her husband Edward Paul Burton. She is survived by: her children, Lisa Van Westing (Richard), Rocky Everett Stinson (Carol) and Bobby Joe Stinson (Joyce); and her grandchildren, Tiffani Ledbetter, Lisa Marie Fitzgerald Simmons, Robert Paul Fitzgerald and Tommy Allan Fitzgerald. She is also survived by great-grandchildren; (1) great-great-grandchild.
