She is survived by: her sons, James Dennis Stanton (Carol) of Lenoir, NC, Michael Stanton (Myrna) of Marion, NC, Terry Stanton of Butler and Vern Stanton (Sherry) of Butler; her grandchildren, Adam Stanton of Morehead City, NC, Kala Macdowall (Luke) of Houston, TX and Joe Stanton of Sugar Grove, NC; and her siblings, Dean Garland of Butler and Jesse Carl Hatley of Mountain City.
