He was predeceased by: his parents, Willard Poynor and Maxine Poynor; and his sisters, Sandra Sitton and Jane Martin. He is survived by: his wife Rita; his children, Michele Mercante (Tony) of Mt. Juliet, TN and Matthew Poynor (Marcia) of Dickson, TN; and his grandsons, Michael Mercante and Nicholas Mercante. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
