He was predeceased by: his parents, John Robert and Elsie Hines Bottoms; his wife Jeannie Robison Bottoms; his son Matthew Bottoms; and his siblings, Ronnie Bottoms, Stanley Bottoms, Art Bottoms and Shirley Haga.
He is survived by: his children, Dennis Tyre of California, Emit Bottoms (Joyce) of Texas, Shawnae Bottoms of Burns, Hazel Dooley of McEwen, Jenny Harrison of Burns, Lawnia Gonzalez of Texas and Brenda Clark (Jay) of California; his siblings, Sue Bottoms of Louisiana, Wanda Bottoms of Arkansas and Larry Moore of California; and his grandchildren, Tabatha Maddow (Danny) of Dickson, Brandon Richards (Heather) of Kentucky, Dennis Bottoms, Jr. (Jessica) of Fairview, Dustin Bottoms (Kaitlin) of Dickson, Brian Dooley, Billy Dooley, Angel Buckley of California and Ashley Baugess (David) of Texas. He is also survived by many other grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
