Shirley Jean Hicks Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Shirley Jean Hicks of Burlison, Tennessee, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 8, 2025 at the age of 83. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her former husband Currie Uzell "Bob" Hicks; her daughter Shelia Roshene Hicks; her parents, John Thomas and Farnell Kirby Stanley; and her brothers, Chester Stanley and Jack Stanley.
She is survived by: her husband Memphis; her sons, Jimmy Lynn Hicks (Phyllis) of Burlison and Jeffery Blaine Hicks (Angie) of Ripley; her grandchildren, Jason Bisignano (Stacy) of Foley, AL, Jimmy Hicks (Melissa) of Atlanta, GA, Erica Savley (Dustin) of Ripley, TN and Logan Crowder (Kari) of Ripley, TN; and her caregivers, Dee Gunnels and Carol Hayes. She is also survived by eleven great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Thursday, January 16th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Covington Funeral Home (3499 U. S. 51 S, Covington, TN 38019). A funeral service was held on Thursday, January 16th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
