She was predeceased by: her parents, Dutes Murphy and Agnes Lavelle Murphy; her son Ricky Murphy Coats; her siblings, Eugene Murphy, Butsy Murphy, Bill Murphy, Grace Billings, Juanell Cromwell and Betty Griffin; and her son-in-law Micheal York.
She is survived by: her husband James Edward Coats, Jr.; her children, Jimmy Coats (Anita) and Cindy York; her grandchildren, Jason Coats (Rachel), Melissa Gribble (Tim), Cristi Oswalt (Brian) and Brandy Bailey (David); her great grandchildren, Hunter Tune, Matthew, Evan Coats, Molly, Oliver Oswalt, Hayden and Trey Bailey; and her stepgreat-grandchildren, Alex Gribble and Haley Redden.
