He was predeceased by: his wife Virginia Pickard; his parents, Edward Alexander and Anna Laura Pickard; and his siblings, Wilma "Deannie" Yarbro, Buford "Buck" Pickard and Jack Pickard.
He is survived by: his children, Polly Marcy, Lolita Collins (Brian), Amy Shettler (Ron), Wendy Cordo (Rich), Ronita Pickard and Ron Pickard (Linda); his sister Brenda Kay Chunn; his grandchildren, Jason Chorley, Nick Marcy, Alex Knight (Jessica) and Nichole Lightsey (Jeremy); and his great grandchildren, Brayden Mullins (Haley), Tyler Lightsey, Addison Knight, Brentley Knight and Emma Marcy.
