He was predeceased by: his parents, Jim Hicks and TheioDoshie Hicks; his daughter Shelia Roshene Hicks; and his sister Mary Sue Creasy. He is survived by: his wife Shirley Hicks; his sons, Jimmy Hicks and Jeff Hicks (Angie); and his grandchildren, Jason Hicks, Jimmy E. Hicks, Erica Hicks and Logan Crowder. He is also survived by eight great grandchildren.
