She is survived by: her children, Cherry Alsbrook, Patricia Sonderman and David Bruce Whitson; her grandson David Scott Whitson; her brother William Chester West; and her sister-in-law Doloris "Dee" West.

The family requests that memorials be made to the local humane society or the ASPCA.
