He is survived by: his wife Betty Jane Cook; his children, Pamela Gerkin (John), Allen Cook (Yvonne) and Loretta Taylor (Danny); his grandchildren, Kristi Ripley, Johnny Gerkin, Jonathan Gerkin, Samantha Gibson, Matthew Cook, Danielle Earhart and Nicholas Cook; and his sister Karen Lawrence. He is also survived by 12 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild.
