He was predeceased by: his parents, Glenn Carpenter and Dorothy Howington Carpenter. He is survived by: his sons, Kris Carpenter, Joshua Carpenter and Ryan Carpenter (Susan Plemons); his siblings, Wayland "Bud" Carpenter, David Michael Carpenter (Marilyn), Brenda Lee, Peggy Sheffey (John) and Jaymie Taylor; and his grandchildren, Logan Carpenter, Kaylee Carpenter, Thomas Carpenter and Chelsea Collins. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
