She was predeceased by: her parents, Raymond Borchardt and Mary Moss Borchardt; her brother Ervin Borchardt of Elk Horn, WI; and her siblings-in-law, Franklin and Barbara Short of Rogersville.
She is survived by: her husband George T. Smith of Bulls Gap, TN; her children, Colleen Rhea of Sarasota, FL, Joseph Rhea of Memphis, TN and Danny Smith (Marie) of Rogersville, TN; her grandchildren, Chris Rhea (Michelle) of Sarasota, FL and Caleb Smith of Rogersville, TN; her great grandchild Andromeda Rhea; and her brothers, Robert (Carolyn Smith), Donnie Smith of Whitesburg, TN and Lynn (Lou Smith). She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, January 2nd 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Christian Sells Funeral Home (1520 E Main St, Rogersville, TN 37857). A funeral service was held on Thursday, January 2nd 2025 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Friday, January 3rd 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Kite Cemetery (518 TN-70, Rogersville, TN 37857).
