It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Derek Andrew Blackard of Buffalo Valley, Tennessee, born in Nashville, Tennessee, who passed away on January 4, 2023, at the age of 3, leaving to mourn family and friends. He is survived by: his parents, Scott Andrew Blackard and Rachel Lee Baldwin Blackard of Buffalo Valley, TN; his siblings, Miracle Blackard, Era Mae Blackard and A. J. Blackard; and his grandmothers, Rebecca Blackard of Mt. Juliet, TN and Patricia Piexoto of Cookeville, TN. He is also survived by several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Derek's family request memorial donations in his memory be made to Bass Funeral Homes to help with expenses.
