It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Peggy Sykes of Brush Creek, Tennessee, born in Hickman, Tennessee, who passed away on November 12, 2020, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, James Edward Blackburn and Mildred Gwaltney Blackburn of Virginia; her husband Billy Milton Sykes; and her brother Bobby Blackburn. She is survived by: her children, Vanda Wiley (Tom) of Gordonsville, TN, Eddie Dale Sykes (Glenda) of Hickman, TN and Cindy Sykes of Gordonsville, TN.; her grandchildren, Tomi Wiley James (Steve), Brad Sykes (Lindsey), Lindsay Foster (John), Ashley Griese, McKenzie Smith (Chaz) and Jonathan Griese; her great grandchildren, Draper, Baylor, Lanie, Greer, Landrie, Nevaeh, Graham and Kelson; her siblings, Barbara Jean Hale, Josephine Taylor and Richard Blackburn (Sharon); and her siblings-in-law, Peggy Angel Blackburn, Faye Williams (Bob) and Gene Sykes (Marcia).
The family requests masks be worn and social distancing guidelines be observed when visiting the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to the Union Hill Cemetery Mowing Fund.
