He was predeceased by: his parents, Joe "Eddie" Simpson and Lexie Sue Loines Simpson; his wife Virginia Bass Simpson; and his brother Jimmy Simpson. He is survived by: his daughter Mary Frances Robinson (Mike) of Gosnell, Arkansas; and his siblings, Johnny Glynn Simpson (Kim) of Martin, Tennessee and Lisa Buchanan of Jackson, Tennessee. He is also survived by five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
