She was predeceased by: her husband John Stanley Higdon; her son James Edgar Higdon; and her sister Mary Belle Smothers. She is survived by: her daughters, Janet Higdon Barcroft of Brentwood and Alice Higdon of Memphis, Tennessee; her sister Virginia Davison of Huntingdon, Tennessee; her grandchildren, Destin Barcroft Tucker (Brian) and Holly Barcroft Cousar (Jason); and her great grandchildren, Logan Tucker, Grayson Tucker, Nathan Tucker, Graham Cousar and Garrett Cousar.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Bruceton First Baptist Church.
