She was predeceased by: her parents, Thomas Lester Brown and Ruby Mae Brown (Barnhart); her husband Hulon Swindell; and her siblings, Rulon Brown, James Brown, Dallas "Pete" Brown, Lucille Bennett and Marie Edwards.
She is survived by: her daughters, Patricia Sutton (Paul) of Mansfield, Kathy Kee of Huntingdon and Darlene Swindell of Camden; and her siblings, Marjorie "Polly" Lynn Brown (Martin) of Merrillville, Francis Dalton (Calvin) of Lake Station, Marilyn Ward (Willie) of Valparaiso, Brenda Meyers (Roger) of Zionsville and Landis Brown (Mary) of Hollow Rock. She is also survived by six grandchildren.
