He was predeceased by: his wife Sarah Spraggins Kerr; his son David Keith Kerr; his parents, Robert Floyd and Kate Marion Booth Kerr; his sister Mary Grace Edwards; and his half-sister Juanita Blair.

He is survived by: his daughters, Vickie Kerr Garrett (Barney) of Brownsville, TN and Nancy Kerr Potter (Mike) of Brownsville, TN; his grandchildren, David Prine, Jr., Stephanie Prine Lewis (Steve), Christy Hall, Sally Hall Wright (Rodney) and Jeremy Faught (Zoe); his great grandchildren, Katie Lewis, Harrison Lewis, Will Prine, Maddie Prine, Gracie Manuel, Maclin Wright, Emma Wright, Addison Pepper, Tucker Pepper, Amelia Wright and Jamison Prine; and also Shirley Kee.
