He was predeceased by: his wife Ruth Massey Middleton; and his children, David Middleton and Helen Middleton Hunter. He is survived by: his son-in-law Jeremy Hunter; his grandchildren, Jon Worth Hunter, Ian Russell Hunter, Emily Ann Hunter and Maggie Kate Hunter; and his great grandchild Lincoln Tyler Deaton.
