She was predeceased by: her parents, Rubin Watson and Mayo Benard Watson; her husband Lamar Watson; her children, Dennis Watson, Brian Watson and Rhonda Holmes; and her son-in-law Earl Holmes.

She is survived by: her children, Christopher Watson and Wendy Elrod (Dale); and her daughter-in-law Leann Phillips Watson. She is also survived by eleven grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.

The family has requested memorials be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, P.O. Box 1000, Dept. 142, Memphis, TN 38101-9908 or the American Cancer Society, Attn: Sharolett.
