He was predeceased by : his parents, Rufus Coburn and Edna Davis Coburn; and his siblings, Jimmy Coburn, Thomas Coburn, Jolene Winchester and Shirley McCuan.

He is survived by : his wife Barbara Coburn of Brownsville, TN; his sons, Mike Coburn (Jackie) of Brownsville, TN and Ken Coburn of Brownsville, TN; his stepson Roger Cathey (Beth); his daughter LeAnn Coburn Gustafson (Brian) of Brownsville, TN; his stepdaughter Angela Scott Floyd (Chris) of Brownsville, TN; his grandchildren, Jon Coburn (Marley), Josh Coburn, Anna Copeland (Dakota), McKenzie Scott, Elizabeth James (Jon), Christian Cathey, Carson Cathey, Cannon Cathey and Ella Grace Gustafson; and his great grandchildren, Cora Mae Coburn, Conlee Coburn, Ellis Copeland, Allie James and William James.
