He is survived by: his children, Allen Briggs of Paris, TN, Dale Ray Briggs of Jackson, TN, Ellen Louise Hamlin of Martinis, CA and Sharon Ann Anweiler of Knoxville, TN; and his siblings, Frankie Briggs, Ray Briggs, Carl Thomas Briggs and Nancy Sue Christy. He is also survived by eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
