Lora Mae Dowdy Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Lora Mae Dowdy (Brownsville, Tennessee), born in Aberdeen, Mississippi, who passed away on July 17, 2019 at the age of 74. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Harry Hill and Madie Frances Morris Hill; and her sister Edith Roberts. She is survived by: her sons, Louis Turner (Tina) of Brownsville, TN, William "Billy" Turner (Debbie) of Toone, TN, David Dowdy (Kim) of Decaturville, TN and Jason Dowdy of Brownsville, TN; and her siblings, H. C. Hill of Aberdeen, MS and Nancy Faye Hill of Aberdeen, MS. She is also survived by five grandchildren; and leaves a legacy of two great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, the Dowdy family requests that memorials be made to the American Cancer Society, c/o Sharlotte Allen, P.O. Box 879, Brownsville, TN 38012.
