He was predeceased by : his parents, John Marion and Patricia Yvonne Alexander Mingledorff; his grandparents, Sam and Helen Alexander; his daughter Jennifer Marion Mingledorff; his sister Patricia Hathcock; and his close friend Charley Baker.

He is survived by : his wife Phyllis Lynn Burns Mingledorff; his children, Jason Wayne Nanney (Rachel) and Ashley Michelle Benson (Derek) of Jackson, TN; his brothers, Marc Mingledorff (Kim) of Jackson, TN and Sam Mingledorff (Debbie) of Lebonon, TN.; and his grandsons, Porter and Rowan Benson.
