It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Floyd Shelton of Brownsville, Tennessee, who passed away on August 4, 2023, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Lucian Marion Shelton and Thelma Shelton Williams; his brother Clarence Lee "C. L." Shelton; and his son Mark David McHenry. He is survived by: his wife Peggy; his children, Amy Dunnavant (Kinnie), Lora Shelton and Jack McHenry; his sisters, Evelyn Gould, Ruth Boyd (Fred) and Faye Ownby; his grandchildren, Ashleigh Maxwell (Rob), Mikayla, Grace Dunnavant and Trey Turner (Leigha); and his great grandchildren, Mays, Harper Maxwell and McKinley Turner. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
