We are sad to announce that on June 6, 2023, at the age of 87, James Elbert Scallions (Brownsville, Tennessee) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Vernon "Buck" James Scallions and Altie Earline Lee Scallions; and his siblings, Lee Roy, Carl Wayne, Billy Don, David W. Scallions and Flossie Earline Cooper.

He is survived by: his wife Patsy Joy Coffman Scallions of Brownsville, TN; his daughters, Dr. Jamie Ann Halbert of Blythe, GA, Starla Kay Plunkett of Fort Smith, AR and Sonja M. Sharp of Elizabethon, TN; his sister Mary Alice Noah; and his grandchildren, Dr. J. D. Halbert, Christopher Halbert, Dustin Fields, Desiree Pittman and Kendra Fields. He is also survived by 5 great-grandchildren.
