It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of James Earl Taylor of Brownsville, Tennessee, who passed away on May 19, 2023, at the age of 51, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his parents, Sherlene Goodman (Taylor) and Earl T. Singleton; his stepfather Lee Goodman; his grandparents, Emma Sue Taylor and Joe Taylor; and his aunt Mary Boyd.

He is survived by : his daughter Jasma Sherrea Taylor of Nashville, TN; his grandchildren, Jaylen Mykhel Strayhorn, Jaleah My'lei Strayhorn and Jordyn Leiann Mcclain of Nashville, TN; his brothers, Lemark Goodman of Decatur, IL and Arbert Goodman of Decatur, IL; his close friend Martha Flagg of Decatur, IL.; and his children, Jimeka, Isaiah, Shinique and Shatara.
