Evelyon Doss Obituary

With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Evelyon Doss (Brownsville, Tennessee), born in Joiner, Arkansas, whose presence will be deeply missed. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was loved and cherished by many people including: her husband Gene Doss of Jackson, TN.; her daughters, Lee Ann Cates (Jeff) of Ripley, TN and Summer Springer (Daniel II) of Jackson, TN; her stepchildren, Tammy Canady of Bells, TN and Gaylon Doss (Heather Williams) of Bells, TN.; her siblings, Robert Hankins (Violet) of Denham Springs, LA, John Hankins (Dawn) of Brownsville, TN, Joe Hankins of Ripley, TN., Emily Ragan of Brownsville, TN, Shelia Powell of Halls, TN and Crystal Powell of Bells, TN.; her parents, Robert Hankins and Ethel Farmer Hankins; her stepfather Bobby Powell; her son Kenneth Earl Hankins; and her siblings, Wayne Hankins, Curtis Hankins and Cynthia Hankins. She was also cherished by her seven grandchildren, with another grandchild on the way, and twelve great-grandchildren.

Visitation was held on Wednesday, December 18th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the Lea & Simmons Funeral Home (1280 S Dupree St, Brownsville, TN 38012). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, December 18th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Wednesday, December 18th 2024 from 3:00 PM to 3:30 PM at the Providence Cemetery (21 Shaw Rd, Jackson, TN 38301).
