The memory of Elizabeth Winfrey Walker Reid of Brownsville, Tennessee, who passed away on October 26, 2024 at the age of 93, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. She was predeceased by: her parents, Mattie Sweeny Winfrey Walker and Junius Galloway Walker Sr.; and her siblings, Dr. Arthur Winfrey Walker (Jo), Patsy Walker King (Allen) and Mary Priscilla Walker Locke (Reeves).
She is survived by: her husband Thomas Lyle Reid; her daughters, Betsy Reid (Bill Gruenewald) and Martha Lyle Ford (Bob Ford); her grandchildren, Walker Thornton (Dannon Thornton), Eliza Ford and Mattie Ford; and her brother J. G. Walker Jr. (Virginia Ann Walker). She is also survived by extended family; and many friends.
Visitation was held on Friday, November 1st 2024 from 5:30 PM to 7:00 PM at the First United Methodist Church (117 E Franklin St, Brownsville, TN 38012). A memorial service was held on Saturday, November 2nd 2024 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
