He was predeceased by: his parents, Samuel F. Thomason and Beulah Austin Thomason; and his siblings, Samuel "Sonny" Thomason, Michael Thomason, Bessie Norwood, Evoynne Mathias and Sylvia Hart.
He is survived by: his wife Pam Mason Thomason; his children, Allan Gilliland of Friendship, TN, Matt Thomason of Frog Jump, TN, Tammy Ballowe (Brett) of Kaufman, TX, Rena Wright (Tim) of Jonesboro, AR and Chrissy Carl (Aaron) of Brownsville, TN; and his sisters, Mary Louise Tucker of Brownsville, TN, Marty Fite of Humboldt, TN and Barbara Robinson of Laurel, MS.. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested memorials to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, P.O. Box 1000, Department 142, Memphis, TN 38101-9908.
