He was predeceased by: his parents, Rayburn Sweat and Elizabeth Doyle Morgan; and his stepfather Monroe Morgan. He is survived by: his wife Edna Rekosh Sweat of Brownsville, TN; his children, Richard Sweat (Macey) and Rachel Curtis; his siblings, Ricky Sweat (Betty) of Brownsville, TN, Charlie Sweat (Alonda) of Brownsville, TN, Howard Sweat, Wally Morgan, Janet Robertson (Felix), Patricia Williams (Jackie) and Joyce Gremmels; his stepmother Bertha Sweat; and his grandchildren, Tyler Tindle, Amanda Tindle, Madison Sweat, Kaedan Sweat, Sadie Todd, Glen Curtis and Karissa Pereira (Frankie).

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be donated to the American Cancer Society, Attn: Sharolott Allen, c/o InSouth Bank, P.O. Box 879, Brownsville, TN 38012.
