She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Jenkins Barcroft and Araminta Ivy Lea Barcroft; her husband James Robert Simmons; and her sister Virginia Lea Barcroft Thornton. She is survived by: her daughters, Pat Emerson (Kenneth), Terry Thornton (Macon) and Brenda Lees (Mike); and her grandchildren, Kathryn Moore Williams (Glyn), Jourdan Moore (Tiffany), Lea Thornton Griffith (Brian), Regen Thornton (Laura), Ben Thornton (Whitney), Taylor Lees and Hannah Lees. She is also survived by nine great grandchildren.
