It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Bettye Gray Powell (Brownsville, Tennessee), who passed away on January 5, 2021, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, J. C. Kirby and Miriam Ruth Stephens Kirby; her husband Bill N. Powell; and her son Christopher N. Powell. She is survived by: her sons, Kirby O. Powell (Susie) of Medina, TN, Mark S. Powell (Cathy) of Jackson, TN and B. Brannon Powell (Elise) of Brownsville, TN; and her grandchildren, Nash Powell (Ginger), J. P. Powell (Stephanie), Currie Powell (Lindsey), Jackson Powell, Christy Irvin (Jose), Jordan Asplund (Joshua), Peyton Gray Powell, Alex Powell and Mia Powell. She is also survived by fourteen great-grandchildren.
Due to Covid-19, the family is having a private graveside service at Allen'Baptist Church Cemetery.
