He was predeceased by: his parents, Junius Samuel and Elizabeth Miller Wade; and his sister Mary Elizabeth Wade Ferris (Betty). He is survived by: his wife Margaret Morrow Wade; his children, Elizabeth Riggs (Wayne), Anne Southerland (Jack) and John Wade (Brandi); his grandchildren, Emily Patton, Louisa Cordon (Jared), Will Wade, Allston Wade, Rachel Wade, Cassidy Wolfe and Avery Wolfe; and his great grandchild Amelia Cordon. He is also survived by children and kept both his children and grandchildren.
