He was predeceased by: his wife Carol Ann Orfield Sims; his parents, Garnet Sims and Marie "Reedy" Graham Sims; his grandson Hosea White; his daughter Tonia Sims; and his siblings, Reba, Mildred, Sylvia "Cootie", Vernon and Willis.
He is survived by: his daughter Sonya Sims Marsh (Blake); his grandchildren, Zoey, Kyler Drinnon, Letty and Molly Worrall; his great grandchildren, Urijah White, Arian and Dixie Byrd; his stepgrandchildren, Aria and Greyson Marsh; his sister Linda Manis; and his close friend Peggy Hundley. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and friends.
