It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Wayne E. Ausmus of Bristol, Tennessee, who passed away on August 21, 2023, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Wayne E. Ausmus to pay them a last tribute.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter P. Ausmus of Bristol, Tennessee. and Ruby L. Ausmus (Barbara "Bobbie" Ausmus) of Bristol, Tennessee.. He is survived by: his daughters, Tamara Connolly (Larry) and Elizabeth Blankenship (Chris); his grandchildren, Anna Connolly, Taylor Connolly, Jonathan Connolly, Mechala Blankenship and Jon Blankenship; his great grandchild Ryan Connolly; and his caregivers, Hope Pearson, Liz Fleenor and Kirk Bishop.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be mailed to First Presbyterian Church, 701 Florida Avenue, Bristol, Tennessee and online at fpcbristol.org, or to King University Men's Basketball Program, 1350 King College Road, Bristol, Tennessee, attention Coach Jason Gillespie.
