With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Vella Ann Mullins in Bristol, Tennessee, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on February 14, 2025. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband James E. Mullins; her parents, Clovie Tincher and Estie Bryant Tincher; and her sisters, Juanita Warden, Viola Noland and Geneva Burns.
She is survived by: her daughter Mitzi Adkins (Jon); her grandchildren, Jarrett Adkins, Trinity Adkins, Madelyn Adkins and Maycee Adkins; her stepsons, Joe Mullins and Michael Mullins; her brother Charles H. Tincher; and her sister-in-law Mary Ruth Collier (Bob). She is also survived by other relatives and friends.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, February 18th 2025 from 5:30 PM to 7:00 PM at the Sturgill Funeral Home (1621 Norton Rd SW, Wise, VA 24293). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, February 18th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the Sturgill Funeral Home Chapel (1621 Norton Rd SW, Wise, VA 24293). A procession was held on Wednesday, February 19th 2025 at 11:10 AM at the Sturgill Funeral Home (1621 Norton Rd SW, Wise, VA 24293). A graveside service was held on Wednesday, February 19th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Powell Valley Memorial Gardens (5650 Powell Valley Rd, Big Stone Gap, VA 24219).
