He is survived by: his wife Marie Shortt; his children, Tina Tunnell (Joe) and Vann E. Shortt, Jr. (Lisa); and his grandchildren, Dustin, Amber Tunnell, Nicholas and Trevor Shortt. He is also survived by several great-grandchildren.
