He was predeceased by: his parents, W. A. Cross and Pearl Millsap Cross; and his siblings, Willard, Fred, Ralph, Emmett, Howard Cross, Ruby Warren, Sallie Elsea, Grace Blalock, Beulah Saul and Mattie Pearl Leonard.
He is survived by: his wife Janelle Cross; his children, Trent Cross (Angela) and Melanie Farmer (Donnie); his granddaughters, Cynthia Nicole Crites (Jeff) and Brittany Farmer (Chris Musick); his stepgreat-granddaughter Emma Crites; and also Bethany Turbyfill (Shirley Bowery). He is also survived by eleven children.
