He is survived by: his wife Joan Thibodeaux Rutherford; his children, Leah Rutherford Morrell (Mike) of Forest, VA and David Rutherford (Clarinda); his granddaughter Lauren Rutherford of Bluff City, TN; his stepdaughters, Mary McClanahan (Brian) of Nashville, TN and Christine Thibodeaux of Novato, CA; his grandchildren, Clare, Katie and Patrick McClanahan; and his stepdaughters, Ellie, Bing and Maya Westbrock. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
