It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Roy Brookshire in Bristol, Tennessee, who passed away on January 29, 2021, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Brookshire and Relia Moore Brookshire; his wife Joyce Trivett (Tenn); and his sisters, Frances Mellon and Peggy Malott.

He is survived by: his pet Roscoe; his children, Debbie Parsons (Kenneth), Mike Brookshire (Temple) and Danny Brookshire; his siblings, Troy Brookshire (Vondra), Mary Brookshire and Sylvia Henderson; and his grandchildren, Chris Parsons (Kelley), Jon Parsons (Sissy), Kellie Thomas (Tyler), Katie Wilson (David), Chase Brookshire (Lauren), Chloe Coley (Austin), Austin Brookshire and Ryan Brookshire. He is also survived by great grandchildren.

Memorial contributions may be made to CADAS or Hospice of Chattanooga.

“In loving memory of Roy Brookshire, Had the true pleasure of getting to know Roy when he joined our choir about 2 years ago. Roy had a beautiful voice so I could lean on him to carry us both when I wasn't sure about the note. He always had a smile on his face and he was always inherently uplifting. Two years ago at Christmas time, I invited Roy to come by the house after choir practice. My wife and I enjoyed his visit along with a glass of wine so much. I will miss my friend.”
